Iran slammed Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi for saying in a Sunday interview with Army Radio that "for two years, Israel has been the only country killing Iranians."

“This is how Israelis are freely and proudly talking about killing Iranians,” Press TV said on Sunday, “just imagine what would happen if it was the other way around!”

Hangebi, a member of the security cabinet, said that "The Iranians are trying to pose a significant threat to us in the Syrian sector, [but] we are destroying any sign of the Iranian military in Syria. There are people there, so there are also victims."

Relating to the incident of the Iranian seizure of a British-flagged oil tanker in the Gulf, Hanegbi decided to attack the European complacency at the Iranian threat.

"The Europeans stand up to the Iranian defiance and try at all costs to placate Iran and to woo it, so that the stupid nuclear agreement will not fall apart before their eyes," he said.
