Another Palestinian Journalist Detained by Israeli Security

The Israeli general security service continued its campaign against Palestinian journalists in the occupied territories, on Wednesday, with the detention of yet another Palestinian journalist, according to reports.

Security forces detained Palestine TV reporter Ali Dar Ali after raiding his home in the Ramallah-area village of Burham.

According to WAFA, Dar Ali is the seventh Palestinian journalist detained in the past two weeks, even though some of those detained were later released after undergoing about one week of interrogation.

Released journalists said that Israeli security services brought volumes of their work to prove that anything they say could be considered incitement to justify their detention and imprisonment, which was seen by observers as a way to intimidate and silence journalists, to prevent them from exposing Israeli violations in the occupied territories.
